Mr. Le Hong Quang, Secretary of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee, expressed his enthusiasm for the Minister's visit and the importance of the delegation from the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Vietnam to An Giang province during the meeting. Therefore, actively participating in the execution of agreements between senior leaders of the two nations, particularly the State visit to Vietnam by Indonesian President Joko Widodo in January 2024.
In recent years, the Strategic Partnership between the Republic of Indonesia and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam has expanded and strengthened in all aspects, including trade, investment, defense-security, education, culture, and people-to-people exchanges.
Mr. Le Hong Quang, Secretary of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee, provided a brief overview of the province's geographical location and socio-economic development strengths during the first visit of Indonesia's Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture, Mr. Muhadjir Effendy, to An Giang province. Additionally, he evaluated the province's exceptional results as a result of its partnership with Indonesian partners. Mr. Le Hong Quang anticipates that the Minister and the Indonesian Ambassador will bolster and advance the collaborative relationship between An Giang and Indonesian partners in the areas of tourism, education, cultural exchange, connection, and cooperation at the local level, in light of the results of the cooperation between Vietnam and Indonesia.
Mr. Muhadjir Effendy, Indonesia's Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture, expressed his gratitude to the Secretary of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee and provincial leaders for their cordial reception. Concurrently, he expressed his profound admiration for the accomplishments of An Giang province during the first six months of 2024 and in the past. Mr. Muhadjir Effendy is excited about the development of Vietnam in general and An Giang province in particular and hopes that the cooperation between the two countries will be increasingly tightened and developed in all fields.
On this occasion, the Indonesian delegation was presented with a painting of the Memorial of President Tonne Duc Thang made from jaggery leaves by the Secretary of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Le Hong Quang, and the gifts of the delegation were also presented to the leaders of An Giang province by Mr. Muhadjir Effendy.
