(AG Provincial E-Portal) - On the morning of October 03, An Giang Provincial Party Standing Committee held the Provincial Party Executive Committee Conference for the 17th time to give opinions on the implementation of political tasks in the first 9 months of 2024, set out directions and tasks for the last 3 months of 2024; at the same time to decide on a number of other important policies within its authority.

At the Conference, comrade Le Van Nung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council announced the Prime Minister's Decision on approving the election results of comrade Ho Van Mung, Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of An Giang Provincial Party Committee to hold the position of Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee, term 2021-2026.
Authorized by the Prime Minister, Comrade Le Hong Quang, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of An Giang Provincial Party Committee, presented the Decision to Comrade Ho Van Mung.
Congratulating comrade Ho Van Mung on being trusted and assigned a new task by the Politburo and the Prime Minister, Provincial Party Secretary Le Hong Quang highly appreciated his capacity and experience and hoped that he would continue to promote his capacity and experience, unite with the Standing Leaders, the Provincial Party Standing Committee, and the Provincial Party Executive Committee to make efforts and determination to successfully implement the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress, develop the socio-economy, and improve the material and spiritual life of the people.

The conference listened to the Report on Party building and mass mobilization work in the first 9 months, directions and tasks for the last 3 months of 2024; Report on the implementation of socio-economic development tasks; budget revenue and expenditure in the first 9 months; directions and tasks for the last 3 months of 2024; Proposal for investment in projects in the list of medium-term public investment plans for the period 2026-2030; Proposal for investment in projects in the list of medium-term public investment plans for the period 2026-2030; Proposal on the task of adjusting the Master Plan of An Giang Border Gate Economic Zone, An Giang province to 2045; Draft Action Program to implement Resolution No. 42-NQ/TW, dated November 24, 2023 of the 8th Conference of the Party Central Committee term XIII on continuing to innovate and improve the quality of social policies to meet the requirements of national construction and defense in the new period.
The conference has approved in writing: Report on the synthesis of sociological investigation results in the third quarter of 2024; Report on the results of advising the Party Committee on Party building work in politics; ideology, ethics and the fields of Propaganda for 9 months and directions and tasks for the last 3 months of 2024; Report on inspection and supervision work for 9 months; directions and tasks for the last 3 months of 2024; Report on internal affairs, anti-corruption, judicial reform for 9 months and directions and tasks for the last 3 months of 2024; Report on Mass Mobilization work for 9 months; directions and tasks for the last 3 months of 2024; Draft Report on important matters that the Provincial Party Standing Committee has resolved between the two Provincial Party Executive Committee Conferences.
Speaking at the Conference, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Hong Quang suggested that delegates demonstrate a high sense of responsibility, promote democracy and intelligence, and focus on discussing related contents: The implementation of political tasks in the first 9 months; directions and key tasks in the last 3 months of 2024; on the socio-economic situation in the first 9 months; directions and tasks in the last 3 months of 2024; localities’ reports on some outstanding results; difficulties and obstacles in implementing political tasks in the first 9 months, directions and solutions to successfully implement political tasks in 2024; preparations for Party congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term, etc.
