After two years of establishing the value chain that connects the production and consumption of vegetables, Antesco Company has established a connection with farmers in the Phu Tan district through cooperatives and cooperative groups. The production area has reached 87.6% of the plan, with 244.5 hectares of organically grown soybeans and sweet corn. Of which, soybeans accounted for 84.4% of the area and 88.9% of the output, while peeled sweet corn accounted for 131% of the area and 129.2% of the output. The total harvest was nearly 2,680 tons, with soybeans accounting for 2,369.5 tons and sweet corn for 310 tons. Following cultivation, the organization acquired the entirety of the farmers' output.
The productivity, output, and production area of vegetable soybeans all increase. In 2023, seven communes will cultivate vegetable soybeans, with an area of 99.3 hectares and an output of 963 tons. By 2024, the number of communes will increase to ten, with an area of 219.5 hectares and an output of 2,369 tons. In 2023, the average yield of vegetable soybeans will increase from 9.7 tons per year to 11.7 tons per year, thereby enhancing soil quality and increasing the value of production.
Antesco Company continues to collaborate with farmers in the production and consumption of 250 hectares of soybeans and vegetables in the 2024-2025 winter-spring crop implementation plan, in the spirit of mutually beneficial cooperation. At the same time, continue to diversify the raw materials associated with the international consumption market by participating in fairs and events. The company proposes to plan concentrated raw material areas to reduce the risk of cross-contamination of raw materials; have policies to support part of the production costs for farmers.
The raw material requirements for export are being met by the current high productivity and quality of vegetable and soybean growing areas, as emphasized by General Director of Antesco Nguyen Hoang Minh at the conference. The company is pursuing the development of a leading growing area in terms of linked area and has a stable consumption market, which ensures the output of farmers. By 2025, the company plans to purchase over 1,000 hectares of vegetable soybeans. Consequently, it is anticipated that the company will continue to receive support and assistance from provincial and district departments and branches in order to safeguard the growing area, strictly manage pesticide residues, maintain production quality, establish sustainable linkages, and satisfy the export market.
