(AG Provincial E-Portal) - On the morning of August 28, Tu Son Chau Doc Co., Ltd. (An Giang province) solemnly held the inauguration ceremony of the Center for Vietnamese Specialties-Agricultural Tourism (Tu Son Supermarket), located at 103, Nguyen Tri Phuong Street, Vinh My ward (Chau Doc city).
Attending the event were: Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Tran Thanh Nam; Deputy Director of Domestic Market Department - Ministry of Industry and Trade Le Viet Nga; Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Agencies and Enterprises of An Giang province Vo Thi Thuy Tien; Vice Chairmen of Chau Doc City People's Committee Tran Quoc Tuan and Pham Van Phuc; Tu Son Supermarket owner Ta Minh Son; together with leaders of the Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Information and Communications; Promotion center, suppliers inside and outside the province.
Center for Vietnamese Specialties-Agricultural Tourism, invested by Tu Son Chau Doc Co., Ltd. was completed and put into use after nearly 3 years of construction on an area of more than 30,000 square meters (construction area of 16,800 square meters), with a total construction capital of more than 96 billion VND. The center includes functional areas: Vietnamese regional specialties, OCOP products of provinces and cities; General night walking area, hawker street; tourist products and service store areas, Vietnamese, Cambodian, and Thai food areas, areas for selling agricultural products and event areas..., in order to create more tourism products and promote An Giang tourism and economic development.
At the Vietnamese specialty center, regional specialties from South to North of nearly 40 provinces and cities have been gathered with famous typical goods, along with over 350 OCOP products nationwide. Introducing cuisine, agricultural products, OCOP products..., creating consumer tourism products to serve tourism development, retaining tourists when coming to An Giang.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Tran Thanh Nam and Deputy Director of the Domestic Market Department - Ministry of Industry and Trade Le Viet Nga congratulated and appreciated the coordination of Tu Son Supermarket and An Giang Department of Industry and Trade in implementing the OCOP Program in recent times. An Giang is one of the localities that has been very active in implementing the OCOP Program since 2018 when this Program was approved by the Prime Minister.
Vietnamese Specialties Center - Tu Son Supermarket contributes to connecting, promoting, and consuming OCOP products, supporting manufacturing businesses to introduce and consume products, and helping distributors find sources of stable and quality goods; promote production and improve product quality; application of science and technology; Seeking output and connecting supply and demand, developing distribution systems, serving the consumption needs of local people, moving forward to conquer domestic and international markets. Thereby, we hope that An Giang and Tu Son Supermarket will continue to accompany the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Ministry of Industry and Trade to promote products domestically and internationally.
